x2uXAMJM is the third app I've tried in this category and the first one I've kept longer than a month. Force-closing and reopening requires signing in again, even with biometric unlock enabled. Offline plus mute is the contract I care about.

Moved to x2uXAMJM from a direct competitor about three months back and the switch paid off. The bottom tab bar disappears behind the system navigation bar on my full-screen Android. Stayed installed through two rough patches — it earns the loyalty.

Comparing x2uXAMJM to two other popular apps, it wins on account management hands down. Playback doesn't skip or buffer when I switch to another app and then return. Best in the category for what I actually use it for, warts and all.

Second month with x2uXAMJM and I've adjusted all the settings to suit my habits. The in-app keyboard lags a full character behind what I'm typing when autocorrect is active. This stays on my dock until something clearly better appears.
